Originally from Oaxaca, Mexico, Deisy has a degree in communication from the University of the Sea and experience in organization promotion and communication. Interested in the social entrepreneurship, she decided to participate in HUB Oaxaca to integrate herself in the social projects the organization undertakes.

She has also collaborated on projects related to organic food from producers on the Oaxacan coast.
